A Word From Our Construction Department...

Purchasing a new home is a large investment and Signature Communities Inc. approaches the building process with that in mind. As soon as the survey, construction loan and building permits have been acquired our Construction Manager meets with the home buyer at the building site. To help provide a smooth and timely building experience, there are several general guidelines that should be followed.

  • It is important that all change order requests concerning plumbing, electrical, building, mechanical and fireplaces are addressed at the initial on-site meeting. In order to implement change orders that occur after the initial contract signing, cost adjustment arrangements must be made at the time of signing the change order.

  • All questions or requests throughout the building process should be directed to our Signature Communities Inc. Construction staff. Trade contractors are specialized in their individual fields, however, they may not understand the entire scope of your home. As sub-contractors, they are not authorized to speak on behalf of Signature Communities Inc. and any comments or requests directed to them may not be accurately documented.

  • Due to insurance and scheduling requirements, we must use our trade contractors for all work and cannot permit work being performed by homeowners or their representatives.
Signature Communities Inc. is dedicated to producing a quality home! Each home goes through a dozen or more inspections and is built well within the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines established by the National Association of Home Builders. We warrant all workmanship for one year after closing and, along with Bonded Builders, provide a ten-year warranty on the structural components of your home.
